One person has been arrested in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Essex. Just before 6:30 a.m. on August 14, Essex County OPP officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Brien Avenue in the Town of Essex. Police say as a result, approximately $21,800 worth of illicit substances and items were seized. A 43-year-old woman from Essex was arrested and is now charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on November 2.
