Police in Prince Edward Island are investigating a fatal collision near Miscouche. The East Prince RCMP, Miscouche Fire Department and Island EMS responded to a 911 call for a two-vehicle collision on Route 2, west of Miscouche, at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday. “The call came from the crash detection system of a cell phone located in one of the vehicles,” reads a news release from the Prince Edward Island RCMP. “A 70-year-old man, the driver and lone occupant in one of the vehicles, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two elderly occupants of the other vehicle were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.” According to police, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the collision.
