One person has died and another was taken to a trauma centre after a collision north of Guelph. The crash happened at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 6 and Wellington Road 22 in Centre Wellington Township. In an update at 4:50 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police said a 74-year-old from Fergus had died at the crash site. An air ambulance took the other driver, an 82-year-old from Elora, to a trauma centre in serious condition. The cause of the crash is still being investigated, and officers expect road closures in the area will last for several hours. Wellington Road 22/8th Line is closed from Campbell Road to Wellington Road 7. Highway 6 is closed from Wellington Road 51 to 6th Line.
