A man in his 90s is dead after drowning in a pool in Laurierville, about two hours away from Montreal, on Wednesday afternoon. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) received a 911 call at 3:30 p.m. about the incident on Provencher Avenue. First responders tried to revive the man on site before transporting him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It’s not clear if the man was alone at the time.
