Ontario Provincial Police are seeking information related to “violent rock throwing” incidents that damaged several vehicles on Highway 401 in South Dundas last week. According to a news release from police, rocks were thrown from the Brinston Bridge overpass at vehicles travelling eastbound on the highway between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17. Several vehicles were severely damaged, but no occupants were injured, police say. Last week, police stated they were investigating several similar incidents reported in weeks prior. OPP say they believe the incidents are related. “Incidents like this are extremely dangerous and could have resulted to serious injury or death,” police said. Anyone with information or dashcam footage related to these incidents is asked to contact the SD&G OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
