The Caring for Kids Radiothon, which benefits the lives of young patients at Montreal’s Children’s Hospital, raised $1,402,011 on Thursday. It was the event’s 22nd year, giving people a glimpse of life at the Children’s, “as young patients and their families share personal stories of how their lives have been touched by the exceptional care of the hospital’s dedicated staff.” Since 2004, the radiothon has raised more than $29 million to meet the hospital’s most urgent needs. The fundraiser was broadcast live from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on CJAD 800, 95.9 Virgin Radio, TSN 690 and CHOM 97.7. Donations to the cause can be made here. Watch the announcement here:
