On its Facebook page, the police service said two teenagers had been in collisions involving cars, marking the third teenager taken to Sainte-Justine children’s hospital with serious injuries following an electric scooter accident. “Although we often think this only happens to others, all road users must be careful and vigilant to ensure safe coexistence among different modes of transportation,” the post read. Police in Deux-Montagnes said they have begun to enforce road safety code violations in areas where collisions have taken place. “Over the past week, 14 citations were issued to scooter and bicycle riders for various violations during three separate traffic safety operations,” it said.
