Environment Canada has lifted its severe thunderstorm warning for Laval and Montreal Island. As of 1:43 p.m. Monday, the weather agency confirmed storms associated with the alert have weakened or moved out of the area. The warning had already been lifted for Châteauguay–La Prairie and Vaudreuil. The system had tracked northeast through the region since shortly before 1 p.m., passing over Beaconsfield and later Dollard-des-Ormeaux, with Environment Canada warning of damaging wind gusts, hail up to the size of quarters, and heavy rain. Saint-Eustache, Laval and Terrebonne were among the areas flagged as possibly affected as the storm moved through.
