Police arrested two youths for allegedly assaulting a Halifax Transit bus driver at a Lower Sackville, N.S., terminal last week. RCMP officers responded to a reported disturbance at the Cobequid bus terminal around 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 27 They learned a group of youths allegedly tried to fight with the bus driver, threw rocks at the bus and tried to stop it from leaving the terminal. There were no passengers on the bus at the time and the driver did not report any injuries, according to an RCMP news release. Police found the group of youths on foot and arrested two of them. They were later released and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court. A third youth was banned from attending Halifax Transit terminals under the Protection of Property Act.
